Volunteer
Dartmouth Family Centre encourages the involvement of volunteers throughout the organization. We value and appreciate the role of volunteers in supporting the Centre to carry out its mission.
Volunteer on the Board of Directors
The Dartmouth Family Centre is governed by a Board of Directors who provides strategic leadership to the organization. The Board is made up of community members, professionals, and participants and meets at the Centre on a monthly basis. If you are interested in becoming a Board member please fill out an application and submit it, along with a resume, to the Executive Director.
Volunteer at the Centre
The Centre's volunteer program supports participants to become involved in the Centre in a volunteer role. Orientation, training, and ongoing support helps participants to develop their skills as a volunteer. Participant volunteers support the community drop-in room, child development programs, parenting workshops/programs, maintaining public spaces, baking snacks for children, organizing the community cupboard, administrative support, etc. Not all opportunities are available at all times. If you are interested in volunteering at the Centre please fill out an application or talk to Centre staff about your interest.
